Artist Statement

 

Light is the only form of energy perceptible to the human eye.  In this small body of photographs, I’ve attempted to capture the different forms of light energy unseen by humans but felt by the human psyche in nature.  With the use of a spectrometer and prism I was able to discretely photograph the activities of multicolored light orbs.  After chemically processing the photographic plates, I combined them to illustrate how the orbs interact in the natural world.
